Starting 28 February, you can meet our Swedish club mentors four Tuesdays between 12:00-13:00.<\/p>\n<p>You can, for example, get feedback on a text you have written, ask us about Swedish grammar, or just sit down and chat for a while. Our employees come from different countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, India, China, and many others. Though English is the official language for business communications, being able to speak Swedish makes work and life, in general, easier and more fun. Therefore, almost three years ago a group of Swedes at the Gothenburg office launched internal Swedish Club meetings, where Sigma Technology colleagues could write, talk, and practice listening comprehension.<\/p>\n<p>The first Swedish Club for foreign engineers started in Gothenburg in winter 2016. It gathered 20 participants from all over the world, who had been mastering their Swedish with Sigma Technology mentors for 10 weeks. The participants came from different countries, some of them had a job, while others pursued higher studies in Gothenburg. However, all of them were talented and united by a common goal: to improve their Swedish to understand what their colleagues talk about at the workplace and feel more comfortable in the Swedish society. After one successful round, the concept was repeated in autumn 2016.
